Non-Loading Finishing Sandpaper Sheets are designed to prevent clogging or ""loading."" In abrasive terminology, ""loading"" refers to the build-up of debris in the paper's grooves, reducing its effectiveness before the abrasive grains are worn out. The paper contains a coating that acts as a lubricant, preventing the issue of loading and making the paper heat-resistant, which extends the lifespan of the sheet and protects your workpiece. Note: it is not suitable for wet applications.
Application: Apply smooth, consistent pressure over the surface. Start with medium grits (around 150) and use coarser paper if needed. Always sand in the direction of the wood grain, never across it. This technique is less essential for fine-grit sandpaper, but it's always good advice to follow.
