The W point is designed to give an accurate size hole with a clean cut entry across the timber grain

The W point allows the outside cutting edges of the drill to cut the diameter of the hole before the centre breaks through. This results in the drill not grabbing thereby producing a clean hole

Due to the free cutting action , these drill bits are not suitable for use in cordless drills

The special flute shape prevents jamming and ensures speedy wood chip extraction

Used to drill 1/4holes for old imperial sized dowels and some shelf support pins. Also good for drilling clean bolt holes on panels
