Magnetic catches consist of two parts: a metal plate and a magnet. The metal plate is mounted on the inside of the cabinet door or drawer. The magnet, on the other hand, is mounted on the inside of the furniture piece. When the door or drawer is closed, the magnet attracts the metal plate and holds it in place.
