Skein nuts are used to provide a strong metal female threaded section in timber to accommodate bolts that hold attachments and mechanisms to timber furniture.

Product Information
Application: The purpose of insert nuts are to create a stable and secure hold with the bolt. In certain objects, particularly those made of wood, bolts may gradually pull out over time. Insert nuts prevent this from happening by gripping into the object.
Installation: Drill size for insertion hole approx 11mm. Minimum depth required is 17mm. Use an Allen Key hex socket or slotted screwdriver to tighten the nut into the timber.
