Steel shaft with very coarse wood-screw thread on one end and machine screw thread on the other, often used for joining table legs to the underside of cabinets. Leg screws are ideal when you want the strength and easy assembly of a bolted connection on a wooden joint.

Installation: Requires Leg screw and 2 hex nuts to suit thread. Thread both nuts onto machine screw end and tighten together with 2 spanners. Lubricate with beeswax, or paraffin wax and start the pointed end of the wood-screw thread in the pre-drilled hole. Use the spanner and screw home the leg screw until the desired amount of machine screw is showing. Use the 2 spanners to release the locked nuts and remove. The stud is now ready to receive the appropriate hardware.
